  • “summer in the City”….ha! “summer in the burbs”
On the Mission Valley temperature sign, it said 111 today as a friend was driving by. We are setting records.
JD said Phoenix was only 110
    What is with this weather?
We’re having A/C installed this year.

  • I’m with ya there. Wouldn’t live without it, since back in the ’70’s.

Worst summer of my adult life.

  • Yeah, but it’s a dry heat. Maybe 30 years ago before lawns and pools and patio misters and you could tell where Scottsdale ended and when people said the freeway you knew they could only mean I-10…. you get the idea.

  • It’s a dry heat…with Inland Empire-grade smog, thanks to all the new roads and people. And it’s only dry until monsoon season begins in early July.

But it ain’t Texas, where it’s 100 degrees with 99 percent humidity and mosquitos the size of rats. And because of the favorable business climate, my tenants have good jobs and can afford the going rents.

  • Investor — It’s never ceased to amaze me how once some place is called ‘home’ its down side is conveniently pushed aside. Why anyone would live in Phoenix on purpose is beyond me. Some places in Texas too. Yet to hear them, they’d rather be smeared with honey and lashed to an anthill than live in San Diego. Go figure.

Texas ‘favorable’ biz climate, an understatement if ever there was one, is among the A-List reasons we like the state so much these days.
