San Diego played the same tune for real estate investors since the ’60’s. Grow, appreciate, contract — grow, appreciate, contract…

Then came the latter years of the latest boom, and the tune changed. Now investors are very hard put to find anything requiring less than 30-35% down just to break even. What does the prudent and flexible investor do? They change their dance to match the new music. Those who’ve insisted on the same old dance to the new San Diego music will be paying the piper soon.

Those for whom flexibility was a core value? They’re enjoying the tunes being played in many areas around the country. The new dances are a nice change too. Here’s an example of changing your dance to suit the tune. Enjoy.
