Independence Day! Let Us Never Forget The Cost Of Our Freedom

Posted @ 11:10 am - Filed under Cool Info

Our independence is based upon the freedom we Americans enjoy. That freedom was first won in a war, in which the first Americans paid the price, some of them with their lives. It’s been maintained ever since by our will as a people to stand up for our freedom against all those wishing to snatch it from us. Peace through military victory is what has kept us free for over two centuries now. Without that freedom, there is no independence.

Our forefathers had the courage to first declare their independence in writing — and sign it. They did this knowing the cost. We’re so blessed to be Americans.

When we look at our flag, we appreciate that freedom, it’s price, and those who gladly paid it.

Here’s what our freedom to be independent looks like today. Happy July 4th! May God Bless America.

  • Hey Kam! Same to you. How’s the cleanup coming? Are you able to function somewhere near normal these days?

  • Jeff,

Well said. Happy 4th of July and hats off to anyone who has served our country in the military. We owe them more than they owed us.

  • Cleanup in downtown Cedar Rapids is underway. It’ll be at a least a year before downtown CR gets back to normal. Outside of downtown CR the residential real estate business market is conducting normal business.

  • Kam — Wow, sounds like some the hardest hit fire areas here in San Diego. We all learn that no matter how advanced we become, we still haven’t come up with a magic wand.
