Goin’ Public With Fee — Take 2

As I mentioned in Friday’s post, this year marks the 30th anniversary of my original fee policy. You can read the gist by headin’ here. Coincidentally a new couple signed on today, and we enjoyed our initial consultation. They were a blast, a double fix.

Think we talked about 90 minutes or so. I take as long as it takes. Topics included making a cross country move while simultaneously transitioning into new jobs — jobs not yet in the bag. Then there’s the logistics of what to do with the $20,000+ they’re gonna save by tweakin’ their approach just ‘this’ much when it comes to acquiring they’re new home.

Christmas tree

We covered pickin’ an agent in a town where average = studly. Then there’s the whole ‘what to do with the Qualified Retirement Plans’ decision. Since they’re not yet 30, we also touched on creating a non-real estate income basket for retirement. Tax free income, that is.

All this for a lousy thousand bucks? ‘Course I get a fix out of it, as I’m hopelessly addicted to this stuff. Showin’ folks how to go from here to retirement never gets old. Pretty soon, I’ll be sharing the perks that go along with this. Remember, this is for folks who can’t get started now, but who still wanna get a head start on their Purposeful Plan. This can and almost always will, give you a distinct and measurable advantage over creating your Plan later. And don’t forget — when you start investing it gets credited back to you anyway. There are so many things most folks can get done in preparation having nothing to do with the actual investment into income property. It’s almost never the same from one case to the next. There’s always a twist — often of the human persuasion.

During these conferences you’ll almost always get answers to many questions you didn’t know to ask. It’s the answers to those questions that so frequently save people from major mistakes made via the deadly combination of good intentions and ignorance. There’s no substitute for knowin’ what yer doin’. Just sayin’.

Silent Night

Though there’ll be much more later on, getting your own Purposeful Plan, advice and analysis almost on demand, plus my virtually unlimited support makes this a pretty solid value. I don’t take everyone’s money. I hafta be convinced you’re a serious camper. The time spent on my side makes that imperative. Sometimes I demur because I simply might not believe you’d benefit. That happens about 20% of the time.

Let’s stop this monologue and get a dialogue going’, OK? What’d'ya say? Get a hold of me and let’s get ya movin’. Ready to go now? For you, my fee is $0 as usual. Come on, I need a fix. Merry Christmas — Happy Hanukkah — have a good one.

  • Jeff,
Merry Christmas to you,the boss,Josh and Mom. We hoped to catch you at Starbucks but haven’t been down there too much the past month.
Beautiful pictures. Nice to see some snow (but only in pictures).
Hope you had a great day with the family.
We had delicious chicken picatta, cooked by who else, the big Black Bear chef at our house.

  • I’ve been lookin’ for you guys there too. Haven’t been there as much as usual due to office move logistics. Sounds like John outdid himself.
