Being Grateful — A State of Mind Best Made Into Habit

Posted @ 1:25 pm - Filed under Sez Me

Nothing trumps my spiritual faith and family — in that order.

Being grateful as a habit changes us. Assuming good intent in others can be a way of life.

Our life in America is blessed.

I’ve been poor — very poor — where’s-my-next-meal-coming poor.

Even then, I knew things would be OK in the long run.

That came from faith.

Our families come together for Thanksgiving in order to acknowledge our endless blessings.

Try spending just 10 minutes alone Thursday, meditating quietly, yet intensely on why you are grateful, and for what you are grateful.

Happy Thanksgiving!

  • Yes, gratefulness. Taking time to count our blessings keeps us off the pity pot.
One thing I am grateful for is your blog. I know it takes allot of time to write and to think about. Just know that you are very appreciated!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.

  • Cher — Thanks so much. It’s meeting people like you who make doing business so worth while. Hope you and JD get too stuffed to move. :)

  • Well put Jeff! Being thankful will change your life. It will make life worth living.

There is always something to be thankful, even when you don’t know where the house payment is coming from.

But when you have Christ, you know he’ll take care of you “how much more than the sparrow”.

I also think you’ll not be thankful unless you DECIDE to be.
