A RE Investment Thought Plus Some Weekend Tunes From The WayBack Machine

Posted @ 11:58 pm - Filed under Check This Out, Weekend Thoughts, San Diego Property Owners, Cash Flow, Capital Growth

The San Diego market for income property is gone for good. Well, only if you want decent capital growth or cash flow. Otherwise it’s always a great time to buy investment real estate in San Diego! :) When putting 35% down gets you a break even — if you’re lucky — and not enough capital growth to talk about in public — it’s a hint the party’s over. Read that — over for good.

This week was an especially busy one, what with folks from several regions deciding to finally pull the trigger on their own Purposeful Plans. Talking to investors is a fix to to me, as I’m addicted to this stuff. It’s a drug to me, and sometimes I can’t get enough of it. Even problems get me charged up.

Smooth as silk segue to some very cool music. If you’re under 40 — send your parents the link to this post — they’ll love you for it. If yer over 40 — how ’bout a trip in the WayBack Machine?

Tonight, I’m in a kinda sorta Roy Orbison — Spirit — American Pie mood.

A duet with KD Lang which turns out to be, in my opinion, even better than Roy’s original version.

Saw Spirit in concert in San Diego in either ‘69 or early ‘70 — one of the three or four best live performances I’ve ever seen. This song is rock ‘n roll.

This one speaks for itself.

Bet yer smilin’. :)

  • Wow, I’m smilin’ through my tears at the music you picked for today.
KD Lang and Roy Orbison, two of my favorites/did not know they ever sang together..how did I miss that? Incredible. Velvet + Velvet = WOW.
Grew up with lots of music in my life (musician/Realtor father) I think my father got through the tough Real Estate cycles because of his music.
Today’s blog reminds me that during these uuncertain times, music gives us escape, joy, a way to get us dancin’ again and a peak into our deepest emotions. I’ve set up my turntable in the garage and listening to all the old stuff. Ever hear of “Ultimate Spinach”?
Loved the beginning of Spirit…the 45 player. My favorite 45’s in high school were Beach Boys… “In My Room” and “Surfer Girl” on 45’s..played them ’til they wore out!
