There are some Realtors both locally and far, far away, you might find interesting. I read at least a couple dozen blogs a day, mostly trolling for info on regions in which I’m either interested, or already in. Some don’t fall into either category, but are solid reading just the same. Here are some examples.
Athol Kay is a Realtor back east blogging away in Bristol, Connecticut. He’s the perfect example of talent rising to the top. Does he have anything to do with investment real estate? Not even close. Is he a good read, informative, funny, and smarter than the average bear? You bet. He’s sometimes known as Sock Puppet, though lately he made one of my colleagues laugh so hard, he called him a Miserable Woolen Bastard.

Chris Lengquist writes in Kansas City and is an investment broker. He is one of the rare ones who understands how it’s done, and doesn’t live in the 1960’s. He’s very knowledgeable — on both sides of the river. He’s someone to read if you want to see what’s going on somewhere not close to an ocean. Also, having a friend there makes for great eating when you’re in the area.

For those in San Diego who might be wondering if there’s a local Realtor who is an expert on our local housing market, have I got the place for you to visit. Steve and Kris Berg operate out of the Scripps Ranch area. I’ve been following their blog for quite awhile now, and don’t miss anything they write. Humor is a large part of their repertoire, and they’re not stingy with it. Kris also writes for BloodhoundBlog — one of the most respected and popular blogs in the real estate world.
Speaking of Bloodhound — they offer a variety of nationally known contributors. There are mortgage brokers, residential specialists (one is a ‘mega producer’), an investment guy with no hair (ahem), a Realtor’s wife, and a staging consultant. Many of you, if not most, will know about this one. If you don’t, you won’t be disappointed — no way. Greg Swann is a brilliant guy, and a writer you don’t want to miss. Hint: When reading Greg, bring both your Latin and Shakespeare primers, a dictionary, and a thesaurus.
Email me if you’re still lost, as I’m getting pretty good at speaking Swannese.
By the way, Greg also speaks BawldGuy as in the video he posted this morning. The signs speak for themselves. Thanks Greg.

Josh and I are off to Boise tomorrow afternoon — and flying non-stop — Woohoo! That saves us about three hours of travel time round trip. Our schedule is, as usual, full of appointments from the time we wake, until dusk — which isn’t until way after 9 PM there. I remember one night last summer when it wasn’t totally dark at 9:40! We’ll be kept moving between three seminars, two dinners, a working lunch with a developer, coffee with a fellow Realtor/blogger, and breakfast at Goldy’s — then back to Paradise.
Sunday will not be spent chasing a Frisbie at the beach.
